For the past week I have been at training camp surrounded by about 250 eager, excited, newbie World Racers. I was in their shoes less than two years ago. Today, as part of my leadership track I am part of one of the training teams. I once again find myself caught up in the excitement of the new teams leaving, and exhausted from giving everything I have, and the things the Lord is still showing me. Let me show you a little bit of my week!

Setting up of the tents even though we all know they won’t be up for long.

There is just something special about worshiping in a room full of World Racers about to leave on their journey.

Getting ready for the fitness challenge! Racers have to do a two mile walk with their pack on in less than 35 minutes.

We put them through all sorts of sleeping situations that are real life World Race situations. This one was “The Airport.” They slept on the floor, in a cold room, with only their day packs, and “announcements” being made through the speakers all night.

Women’s Time! We got to spend a few days pouring into the women while the men were off on the “man hike.”

As part of the Beauty for Ashes team I got to take part in several of the break out sessions we had this week to share about our ministry, and prepare women on the teams to use it on the field.

Finally, D-Squad! The amazing group of men and women who head out in January to bring Kingdom around the world. I have had a great training team to work with as we got to help prepare them to head out.
