#winningleadershiptrack

I’d like to introduce you to some of the people I have gotten to do life with these past few months…the men and women of Leadership Track. I have been blessed by them.

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

In a setting where it would be easy to be competitive, and want to be “the best leader” this has never been an issue. Each person in this group is a leader. These are people that have been incredible in encouraging each other and building each other up. We have encouraged each other in area’s of strengths, and challenged each other with area’s of growth. Vulnerability has taken place, and trust established (which as we learned this semester is the first level of a healthy team).

Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

This is a group that know’s how to have fun together. There have been many times this semester that the laughter that takes place with this group is just what I have needed. We have laughed at ridiculous you-tube video’s, gone on scavenger hunts, and enjoyed meals together.

Matthew 20:26 It is not this way among you, but whoever wants to be a leader among you shall be your servant.

We have been led this semester by some incredible people. Our track leader Travis has been humble and patient with us. There have times when he has led this group in stepping out and doing things that aren’t always comfortable for him either.

John 12:26 Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.

I have gotten to see this group serve on training teams, and serve team at the World Race training camp. Those were long days, and cold mornings but there wasn’t ever a complaint. Instead there was excitement, love and joy about getting to prepare this group of racers. I have gotten to see them serve their housemates, and fellow CGA’ers. Their hearts are to serve the people around them, to bring Kingdom, and help others to grow to love God more.

As the semester is drawing to a close we will once again be going our separate directions. A few will be squad leading for the World Race in January, some joining full time staff here at Adventures, some will be doing one more semester of CGA and still others aren’t sure yet. I can tell you one thing, each of these will be a leader wherever they go. They will be a blessing to the people that they meet.

 That is #winningleadershiptrack.
